Surface Designer of the Day

After forgoing a steady tech career to focus exclusively on her creative practice, Kieu Tran has unveiled a unified body of sensuous biomorphic sculptures whose emotional resonance can’t be put into a box. The rapidly rising Oakland-based sculptor aims to give form to universal feelings—her works plumb the depths of her own conscience while encouraging others to follow suit.
